AYPS (Asian Youth Prevention Services)

A youth substance abuse prevention program located at several agencies throughout San Francisco. AYPS empowers youth with knowledge to make good choices and live healthy lives through community outreach, counseling & referrals, weekly group dialogues, activities/outings, interactive curriculum, and community building.

AYPS youth groups like F.F.O.C. – Flicks From Our Community (Burton Highschool), F.F.O.C. 2 (Afterschool at F.C.C.) are currently working on a project. This project will document the visibility of alcohol advertisements to facilities that have youth in the city of San Francisco. These groups are working specifically on advertisements such as billboards, or storefront advertising around the South of Market (SOMA) district. Please check out their work at http://instagram.com/aypsfcc

*If you would like to participate in the project, all you would have to do is:

  1. Take a picture of a billboard or a storefront advertisement in the SOMA.
  2. Write the address of where the billboard or a storefront advertisement.
  3. Add the #aypsfcc
